In November we attended the International Society for Fertility Preservation Congress (ISFP), as well as sponsoring the event we were also proud to support a pre-conference workshop for around 40 participants with the intention of providing key insights to ovarian tissue freezing.
We supplied the equipment to enable the workshop to freeze live samples of ovarian tissue and individually complete the full process, from preparation of the sample through to freezing. This was a huge success which has increased the interest for the procedure and will help Planer develop additional sales of the Kryo360 and Kryo370 when it is launched.
The ISFP conference had around 250 delegates who came from across the world to exchange ideas about every aspect of fertility preservation, some of the main topics included the vitrification process, success rate for cancer patients and the ongoing challenges in this field. With speakers from Japan, the USA and various places in Europe, the agenda was extremely full and very informative. Phil Crow our Senior Sales Manager who attended the conference was thanked personally by the organisers and many of the delegates, most of whom have worked with Planer Kryo freezers over the years. The feedback from the exhibition part of the conference was great as many of the delegates already have a Planer freezer, however these have been in storage since the vitrification process has been around, but now is the time they are digging them out, as a focus on ovarian tissue is on the increase.
